Tankless Water Heater

IGD Plumbing & Air are experts when it comes to any water heater!

Tankless Water Heater

Tankless water heaters are much smaller than storage water heaters since they heat the water directly. A gas burner or an electric element is used to heat the cold water as it travels through a pipe into the tankless water heater. This ensures a steady supply of hot water. The average tankless water heater can heat up to 5 gallons of water per minute. Compared to electric models, gas-fired tankless water heaters can produce more water per unit of time.

Type

Tankless water heaters are both excellent choices, but each has advantages and disadvantages. A gas-powered tankless water heater is more expensive and requires more maintenance than an electric one, but it can heat a greater amount of water at a given time.

Benefits

A tankless water heater typically lasts five to ten years longer than a tank water heater. Up to 20 years are possible for a tankless water heater with proper maintenance.

Cost

As tankless water heaters use less energy, they can also lower your utility bills. According to ENERGY STAR®, converting to a tankless unit can save a household hundreds of dollars every year.
